I will get it for $30, nothing more unless user feedback is off the wall. First I want to see if they fix the stupid controls that every gothic game has had.

I got some bootleg (russian?) version of the game from a friend and it ran very well on my PC (see specs) at 1920x1200 and all settings maxed. The game doesn't support AA by the way as far as I can tell. Now that I know the game will run fine on my PC, I've placed a pre-order on Steam for it and can't wait to get the game so I can start playing it. I'll try it with my Matrox Th2Go at 5040x1050 to see if it can surround gaming, hopefully it'll be able to handle that.

If I recall Gothic 3 didn't support AA but somewhere along the way it was patched in so that you could do up to 4x. That's better then nothing I suppose. I already have this on pre-order but plan on finishing Gothic 3 and the stand-alone followup that is out for it first.

I've uninstalled the game (wasn't playable anyway, I don't understand Russian ), and can't wait for the game to actually come out. Only 1 day and 17 hours left.

I buy all my games, but after seeing that GPU benchmark, I just had to see how the game runs before purchasing it. Those charts from that GPU bench from previous page are messed up because if you read, they say a HD 4870 will suffice at 1920x1200, but their chart would indicate that unless you have HD 5870, then the game is unplayable.

That benchmark seemed to be worst case scenario because so far feedback is very positive. Only occasional stuttering and mostly smooth and nice performance even on laptops.

That benchmark is big BS! It's a 5870 hype!

Just preordered on Steam... $10 off if you count tax where I live.

Looking forward to giving it a try tomorrow. I haven't been enraptured by an RPG since The Witcher, so I might have too high of expectations, but... we'll see.

Screenshots from very early in the game. My initial impression is good - no bugs, combat ok and emphasis on exploration.

Performance-wise I am getting a steady 25-30 fps at 2560x1600 with all settings at max. Feels very smooth.
