http://www.videogamer.com/xbox360/risen/review.html http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/risen-review The eurogamer review is getting thrashed on the comments section because owners of the PC version are chiming in with their experiences with the game. |

It doesn't bother my eyes but I was doing 3-D gaming since back in 2004 with my Edimensional glasses. Running a game with 1680x1050 in 3-D kicks the living crap out of 2-D on my old 1920x1200 monitor. Be advised you can't just get any 120Hz monitor - it has to be one that is 3-D ready.

Anyway, those reviews seem to be more about wanting Mass Effect instead of Gothic 2, frankly. Look at these quotes: Quote:

Ugh, that sounds horrible. The demo was pretty easy in regards of what to do.

Sounds like awesomesauce to me. I was hoping it wasn't an open-world hack n' slash like Oblivion.

The PC vs XBox comparison is pretty drastic. The textures look to be less than half the resolution of the PC. Foilage is completly missing on the XBox. There's a ton more bloom and depth of field to hide the mess in the distance. Glad I'm getting it for the PC... as if I would actually play a game on a dirty console system *scoff*.

Valve really blew this release. It's been at least 2 hours since the official launch time and it still hasn't been released and there has not been a single word about it from Valve.

Yup, still waiting here as well. There must be some problem, but they aren't posting about it for some reason.

I bet Piranha Bytes accidentally sent them an alpha version of the game or something.
