What is the best cd/dvd burning software these days? I used to swear by nero, but every release after 6.0 has just been one big bloated mess.
I just want something simple. Burns disc images, burns music, burns dvd video, and burns files. I don't like it when they try to manage your movies and music for you and become an all in one multimedia center app like nero does now. I just want to burn discs and nothing else. Preferably something powerful like nero used to be (e.g. supports a bunch of different image formats) just without all the bloat and unneeded multimedia garbage. |

Seems not only does it do that now but also allows you to burn video_ts folders to make a movie dvd as well. |

I use ImgBurn and haven't had any problems with it. If you do come up with a bad burn or the program is just finicky, just burn at the lowest speed and it should fix it. Most of my burning is Steam game backups so I have no experience with actual DVD's.

PowerISO is a good program, but as far as burning is concerned imgburn is better.

For me:
Best free: ImgBurn http://www.imgburn.com/ Best paid: Ashampoo Burning Studio http://www.ashampoo.com/frontend/pro...&idstring=2210 ImgBurn does most jobs. Burning Studio has tons of features and very simple interface. Allows things like editing .ISOs, Multisession discs, quick movie editing for home made DVD etc. (I do own it, and I have no affiliation with them.) |
