Default 360 Survivors

Anyone got an original 360 from release day still working?

My first one died around 10 or 11 months into its life and i am now on my 6th unit which is an Elite.

If you havnt got an original 360 how many have you been through?

I've been through 3 elites. None of which lasted more than 7 months.
I gave up, because i'm NOT paying to have the POS fixed so it can die again.

I went with a PS3 instead.

test,

I am still on my launch unit, but that is probably because I rarely even turn it on.

Believe it or not my friend has a launch unit that's still working. He's in Germany now though and I don't know how much he plays it. It may have died since I last saw him, he left Summer '08.

I don't have my launch unit, but I know it still works, as I sold it to a friend when the Elite came out.

My 2nd, an Elite, still works.

I know the 360 sucks in reliability, but I kind of wonder how some people can go through 6 units and others only 1 or 2. Seems like user issues might play a role there, no offense to anyone.

My launch unit tried to get out of the three year warranty before failing, but failed. The replacement unit lasted a couple months before getting a non-rrod issue which they replaced on the three year warranty. My second replacement unit has been working fine ever since.

My second 360 (yes I have two), hasn't had a single problem, but it doesn't get used much.

probably room temp, but still selling such a defective device should get them in more trouble.

Indeed.

My point was more some people are not treating the 360 as the fragile POS it is, so they get more failures. It is still the fault design from MS that is the problem.
