Motherboard temperature control under Linux?
I'm running an ASUS P4B266 Motherboard with a BIOS supported temperature control.
I also installed under Windows 98 (sorry I know we have a Linux discussion ;-))

Does someone know whether or not there are any Linux utility programs that are supporting
such kind of hardware control for a running Linux OS?

You need to look for "lm_sensors" that contains the needed drivers and also some utilities. (there are various programs using lm_sensors I think)
