intergrated Nvidia graphics

I am a very new Linux user. have loaded Linux Mint ok but graphics stuck at 600x800. My graphics is only integrated on motherboard and is Geforce6-class.
Nvidia site says not supported,does that mean there is no hope of getting any better video resolution? Will a separate Nvidia card work. MB is Asrock K8NF6G

Your integrated GPU is supported by the latest drivers.
