hey every1
My question is about powermizer support in the version mentioned above .. "RegistryDwords" "PowerMizerEnable=0x1; PerfLevelSrc=0x3322; PowerMizerDefaultAC=0x3; PowerMizerDefault=0x0" in xorg.conf used to get me full blast on ac , and lowest perf level on battery (on 180.x versions).. but not anymore - it now just does the adaptive clocking no matter what the power source is (and it is detected pply as you can see it change in nvidia-settings) ... i did not see any changes in the docs so one would think that this setup would continue to work .. If some1 could point me in the right direction it would be appreciated ... setup details - an 8600 gts on a macbook pro , compiz 8.5 . kernel 2.6.29 thanx for any help . |

Welcome to the club, my friend. Welcome. A similar thread of mine (I want to clock the card *down*, not up) went unanswered: http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=138575

The latest version that does work for me is the 180.60 driver, later ones do not seem to respect NVreg_RegistryDwords.
