I was hoping for a little environmental variety as well, but its all the same foliage and trees, with the intermittent village. It is a small island, so I don't expect the gamut of climate zones, but a little change in scenery for some of the missions would have been nice.

I figured out the white dots on the trees were caused by Multisampling AA. Any level of MSAA will cause these white spots to flash on the trees at night. So I applied 2x2 SSAA instead and they went away, and there wasn't much of a performance hit because this game isn't that demanding in the first place. The SSAA looks much better in my opinion, especially with the huge draw distance where far off things only are a few pixels by a few pixels in size.

had Nvlddmkm stopped responding while playing operation flashpoint dragon rising on windows 7 (two day old install)


Edit: saw this further down in the event viewer= "The NVIDIA Display Driver Service service has reported an invalid current state 32"

any ideas?

I played a bit of single player last night. Seems ok. Might get online though and see how it does. Just gotta get me head round the controls. Been a while since i played a tactical shooter.

If you bypass the ****ty ingame browser for servers & use the direct ip connect in the lan menu for setting up games with buddies it's awsome!

Multiplayer is where this game shines, as well as co-op the adversarial mode is superb, huge battles with/against buddies, nothing comes close, oh & i'm an Arma II fanboiy too!

There is no multiplayer. I can't believe you can play Operation Fart 2, after playing Arma 2 !
I'm honestly shocked.

Anyway, i thought i'd give OPFDR an honest chance, but i should have played it before arma 2 .

It just doesnt even come a little close, at all. It's like going back in time 10 years, and feels more like operation WOLF instead of a decent war sim .

It's not even worthy of the console in my opinion.
