Default Hulu desktop for linux

By now you've probably seen hulu has released a linux desktop. It's flash based unfortuatly... Still, it works pretty well. It can be found here:

According to adobe, flash "uses the GPU" (opengl?):

I'm pretty much at a loss with all of this so maybe someone who understands can get it in my feeble brain. With the nvidia drivers is it possible to get smooth full screen (my htpc is 1080p) video with this? I have no issues with vdpau base xine or mythtv.

On the mythtv mailing list there is some talk about the hulu desktop and a menu has been made for mythtv to launch it.

This would be great to get running smooth!!!

Maybe there is hope for VDR also

though I have heard that Hulu might be bought out and become a pay service

There's another recent post on the Adobe blog that seems to indicate Flash is fixed for Linux in 10.1 and they've been working with nvidia on this. Public beta available by end of the year.

but does this flash need a full desktop install? Like to keep vdr computer somewhat lean. Already have to use xine on top of xorg to get video out.
