Just ordered a Q9650 offov eBay for my rig (see sig). I've currently got one of the older Noctua's, but as good as it is I'm not sure if it'll cope with a quad at 4.05Ghz. So I need some advice please guys. Cost isn't an issue, but keep in mind what mobo it's on (quite large PWM and NB coolers).
Is the Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme Rev.C still the daddy?? |

Your thread gave me a GENIOUS idea Revs. And when I copyright it, I'm sendin' some of the profits to you, partner.
![]() See here, I'm now fixin' to use a radiator and fan from a Mack truck to cool a cpu- using an all-copper water block and industrial-grade piping. We're talkin' some top-end coolin' here. jAkUp, ya'll OC just got diminished. The big dogs here. ![]() |

You could cool every chip on about 10 rigs with that, but it's a laugh
.Anyhow, I've decided I'm gonna give the Corsair H5O kit a go. I've tried the Swiftech H2O in the past and the pump was just too darn loud, but apparently this one is super quiet and very solidly built. At £55 it's worth a try. So I'll get it installed with the quad at the weekend and let y'all know what I think . |
