Hello all,
I have run multiple NVidia Graphics cards in Linux, including two different 8600GTs and a QUADRO. The problem is, upon boot every once and awhile, *one* blinks on and off, it is always the same monitor connected to the same port, the screen is fine and then it goes black, then it comes back on. It will continue this until I either: 1) Cycle X (ctrl-alt-backspace) 2) Run nvidia-settings and change some settings. This has been reported to the nvidia bug report system 2-3 years ago but I never heard back so I am trying to report this now on the forums. This is not a monitor problem, it happens on several machines with NVIDIA boards that have 2 or more monitors attached. Does anyone know if NVIDIA is ever going to fix this bug OR know of a better workaround? Justin Last edited by jpiszcz; 10-20-09 at 10:48 AM. Reason: fix icons |
