Default 6800u low memory clock speed after suspend

I'm seeing weird memory clock speeds after resuming from suspend which is causing my card to run (a lot) slower than it normally would.

"nvclock -s" shows memory clock speed after cold boot as 1100MHz as it should be, but after resuming from suspend the clock speed is about 600Mhz and its impossible to raise it any higher.
A quick glxgears test shows that the card is actually running slower than it should, so its not just nvclock showing wrong numbers.

Tested with various drivers up to 185.18.36.
If anyone has any ideas how to fix it I would appreciate it a lot
