I can't decide if Sledge's shotgun sucks or rocks.

Depends. Do you plan to be practically inside the enemy you are shooting at? lol

I use it as a secondary weapon, usually using a shock or exploding weapon first from range and then using the shotgun to demolish them quickly. I have yet to find a weapon which deals that much point blank damage on an un-armored enemy.

The plus side also is if you are on a ledge, you can blast stronger enemies right off so you kill them or don't have to deal with them anymore.

It has 0 accuracy so you will do minimal to no damage even 10-20 feet out.

I've discovered another bug in the game, to do with some of the peon soldiers (basic bandits).

I came across one in the Arid Badlands who was a regular soldier but was running around at about 5x the speed of the fastest thing I had seen yet. He also had recharging health/armor just like me, but much, much faster. 1 shot from his gun, which after I killed him turned out to be a basic machine-gun dealing about 30 damage, would knock my armor (almost 400 count) down to 0 and 1 or 2 more shots would kill me.

It was ridiculous because as soon as I popped my head around a corner, BLAM, he would shoot a few shots right into me. Dude was way tougher than any of the bosses I had come across.

I finally managed to kill him by luring him out and just blasting away with rockets from the vehicle while keeping my finger on the machine gun but it was beyond frustrating.

Anyone else come across randomly overpowered enemies like this? This was the first time I experienced this.

Currently am a level 26, waiting to get up another level or 2 before I can use my 101010 rifle Infinite ammo plus about 900 damage + elemental damage. I am really curious to see if there are more powerful guns out there, and how powerful this gun is.

-edit-

Just an fyi, he was listed as a lvl 29 bandit, but I have been dealing pretty easily with anyone else in the 29/30 range so it was definitely weird.

Wow, this game opens up even more after Sledge I see. I heard people say 20 hours of gameplay but I am at 17 hours right now and just entered the Dahl Highlands or whatever.

I found a 100+ damage combat rifle (my weapon of choice) not long ago, which was a full 60 more damage than I was doing previously... now I one shot everything. The random item drops deciding game difficulty is a little weird, but I guess I expected as much from a Diablo type game. My turret is freaking AWESOME, I maxed that thing first chance and now it shoots fire, electricity and rockets and recharges pretty fast... it lays waste to all.

Love the game, though it is very repetitive. I don't think I will play it straight through and will probably step away from it for a long while when Dragon Age releases on Monday. Still, I like it very much.

Same

It is definitely a little repetitive and some of the leveling of the enemy is non-linear but, its still fun

My buddy and I wiped on Sledge and when we came back, we cheaped him by not entering the room and shot him through the door. Because of that, he either didn't drop his shotgun or my friend ninja-looted it without telling me
