Aah yeah, I see what you mean, the guns are definitely a lot closer to the screen in this one compared to L4D1.

From what I've been told the default FOV is 90 in both L4D1 and 2, so they haven't changed it, just changed the gun model's position.

This should have been a DLC if anything. Its like L4D with new characters. Overall I love L4d as for part 2 I feel robbed but still feel obligated to buy it since all my friends want to play it.

Pros :

New Weapons.
New characters for infected.

Cons :

Price
Doesnt warrant a part 2 since its like part 1.
Servers still suck and have to restart like 10 times to find a better server.
Expert mode on campaign seems easier then L4D part 1.
Slightly better graphics.

Its price isn't a problem for me. I think it's cool that Valve offered the 4-pack and I basically for the game for $33 that way which is not bad. An expansion pack would usually cost about $29-$35 in my experience. I realize that not everyone has friends they can buy the game with, but at least they did offer that discount for pre-order (and are still offering it).

It feels very cartoony...

Feels like this was based off of TF2 and the original was based off of CS:S implementations of the engine... that pretty much says alot of my first impressions

still a fun game... different in hard to place ways but has potential... rahter dissapoitned with the look and feel of the demo though. that first level felt WAY too nice and happy being in the day... I don't think any of the other l4d campaigns happened in the day.

The daytime setting, increased gore, and goofy weapons like the guitar and frying pan just bring this game strictly into the zombie parody genre now, like Shaun of the Dead or Zombieland. Nothing wrong with that, but the oppressive and dark tones of the first game just seems to be lost now, and it just seems like these 4 new survivors are just having a grand old time zombie mashing.

Well, some impressions.

- the menu music sucks
- main menu screams console
- liked the old game UI better, it was smaller and clearer IMHO
- feels partly "overloaded" with stuff, do i take the

Guitar?
Polica Baton?
Pan?
Katana?
Machete?
Second Pistol (melee weapon replaces it)?
Medkit or Defib (it reanimates dead comrades)?
Adrenaline or pills?

Encountered the female boomer, the smoker has some new clothes cause it seems to be hot

No tank so far, female spitter and the acid seems cheap.

The range of the pan, no surprise, is small, timing is very important.

I dont see that being used too often in Expert, especially with more zombies around you.

Bad timing a few times and you're on the ground (no thats not why i have this nick :P)

The added gore seems nice but was doable in L4D for sure as well.

Fire now has some black smoke, thats wasnt too hard, was it Valve (why not in L4D)?

Sadly no weather effects, but a jukebox with some tunes

I hope the change the menu and the game UI (or someone mod it).
