It has no AA what-so-ever either, looks like a jaggy-fest just like the original and Half Life 2 on Xbox.

Just busted out some of the demo today, first impressions; its not bad, graphics are quite nice and the source engine has never felt so smooth.

Gameplay isn't drastically different from the first tbh, will play more when I've had some sleep.

But its safe to say this could prevent me from doing uni work haha.

My gripe is the atmosphere. L4D had a significantly more "serious" tone. The music was not comical in any way, and the game was just very "dark"... they focused *heavily* on atmosphere. They made it so, at the default brightness, you could barely see. This would draw the survivors to light areas in the map, and those were strategically placed.

Now, I'm only going off of the one, extremely-short, level in the demo- but it was set during what appeared to be the late afternoon. And what is with the music when the horde of zombies rush? Completely lame and just killed the atmoshpere. Made the game seem much more "humorous" than "serious", IMO.

Oh, I'll probably buy the game. If I had a spare $50 (or whatever it costs) that I didn't nkow what else to do with, I'd probably buy the game now. But I don't. Maybe when it reaches $30 or so, I'll pick it up then. I'm sure with thanksgiving coming up they'll have some kind of deal on it. But $30 to $35 is about all I'm willing to spend on it. That's what I bought the first one for, and I sure as heck wont be paying a penny more than that for the second one.

It's $30 or so right now if you go in on the 4-pack like I did.

That's the awesome thing about it. I wish I had gotten in on that deal on Borderlands too.

I'm not a big fan of the level design for The Parish map. I was hoping for a more dark and creepy New Orleans setting. Instead it feels bright, a little silly, and kind of just a charicature of New Orleans.

How is it a charicature? Some of the other gameplay aspects are intented to be over-the-top, but the level itself didn't seem that way at all to me.

Also, it is 2 chapters out of like 25 in the entire game.
