I am not saying we shouldnt play dao because of it.. its not a bad game. Its just of the couple of down points..I find the control scheme gameplay elements to the majority of them.

bte the witch and the nutso rogue chick you pick up after the initial siege... total win. ^^ I really really like some of the characters in this game.
I was a lvl 50+ cleric in the second most powerful guild on my server in EQ before WoW was a thought, I know high level gaming in a MMO better then you will ever.

You are clearly young since you are comparing DAO to WoW/MMO rather to the series it is originally intended to be compared to, Baldurs Gate and NWN.

I see here (and other forums too) people comparing this to WoW and such. This should be compared to Neverwinter Nights because it's the spiritual successor of NWN.

I bought the retail version, regular version. It comes on 1 DVD, I thought it might be bigger, but that's fine.

Install took awhile, 15GB when complete.

It runs wells cranked up on my rig and seems to really use 4 cores. No performance issues so far.

It has a very epic feel and it's a dark, bloody game. Those who love RPG's are going to love this one.

Okay... just wondering because steam told me I needed to enter the cd keys when the game asked for them and ofcourse there's nothing.

Okay, you use the keys on the Bioware website. Unfortunately, the pre-order cd key didn't work and it wants me to pay for the DLC I was suppose to get for free, and the other key I had to use to register the game. The only key I got to work to unlock content was the Deluxe CD Key. The other two...nothing.

Could they have made this any more confusing?

where did you find that on newegg site my order simply disapeared.

nothing in recent order history, nothing in order status, nothing in pre-order status.

it was there few days ago, have not received any notifications from newegg about it being cancelled.

No Problem registering my keys here. Did it all online through the site and when I started the game all the content was already downloading automatically, even the stuff from the Flash Game.

I was a level 75 cleric who was the third most powerfull guild on the server, mainly because we still raided the new content when all the other guilds dropped out in the lull between plains of power and discord. I currently have an 80 level priest and pali in a guild who is currently working on algalon in 25 man. I also have a couple level 20's in guild wars. Don't talk to me about highl level character development.

And yes..I would still play WoW if it was offline. I find its npc interaction..it talent tree configurations..its loot system..and its quest infinitely more enjoyable then most offline RPG games. And if you havnt found the story lines in wow..you are simply ignoring the quest text. You also havnt spent any time on wowiki which has tons and tons of lore accumulated from the wow universe culled Wow, warcraft, and the books.
