Another way to kill Flemmeth....

Use Dog as your tank, since the dragon can not pick him up in the mouth and the rest of your team consists of archers and mages. Works like a charm.

I want to play Awakening, but ever since installing the 1.03 patch and the expansion, I've been getting crashes to desktops. Pre-expansion and 1.03 DA has been perfectly stable for me. It always seems to occur in the middle of a battle too. Anyone else getting this issue?

Depends on how low you spent on the first game. For me it was probably about 1/3 as long. They seemed to have shorted a lot of the missions. In Origins, the were sections that went on too long for me. Awakenings seems to have hit a sweeter spot. Plus there is some really nice gear and loot.

I am still playing it and it seems as though it's worth the price. I have found significantly better loot, and there is more to do with the rune crafting stuff. And now not only weapons but armor can be enchanted, which I thought was a significant oversight in Origins. Though the only thing that I still kind of don't like is I can't craft runes at the "camp" cause my character can't do it while one of my party members can. It becomes problematic when I want to buy supplies cause I forget to check before hand what I need and there is no way to even look at the recipes with my character.

Yeah, that is annoying. They should make it so you can activate skills and talents from their respective sheets while at camp.

I also killed one of my party members before I even knew they would be a member. :: It's k though. I was playing an evil bastard.

I did that too Crainger, I killed the thief at the start... though I was a good character, it still worked.

I kept him. I needed a thief. It was just Ogs and me. Me being a dual wield warrior dwarf, Ogs being a two hand warrior dwarf. We were sorely missing some talent.

Wish I could get myself motivated enough to finish this game for the third time. I want to play awakening but I am still have the dwarven quest and the main quest line to finish off.

The Dwarven area isn't as bad now with the newest patch. The loading times were killing me before. If you want to just blast through the game, get the Skip the Fade mod. You can cut off a good hour or so from that mod alone.
