Default Re: Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Multiplayer Beta

I've watched some videos of this game and it doesn't look any different than Battlefield 2 other than the destruction of buildings.

Which is alright I guess. Battlefield 2 is an excellent game.

I just hope they don't remove anything or dumb the game down since this is going to be a cross platform game. For example, the weapons better still be select fire. I don't want the Call of Duty treatment where every gun is a "machinegun".

There are plenty of public betas for console games so thats a moot point. But there are also MANY PC games that never got a public beta. Public betas are nothing more then demos, They rarely provide any feedback to the developer because the general public never submits any.

Look at MMOs, many have public open betas and still launch with the same bugs they had during the beta because so many people join them just to get a free game.

Oh wow...that looks hectic, nice video.

Why is it so bright tho? Its like its got the contrast set to max or something...
& Why does it have such a massive ammo counter...

The HUD looks all...tight...the info in there is a bit too large...

Apart from that..looks pretty good. BF2 was very enjoyable for me, but sometimes it felt it was way too big to really stand out.

indeed, Intense! even if MW2 had dedicated servers i don't think it would compare to this, even if MW2 had vehicles.

the graphics, particularly the soldier models, really take the gameplay experience to a new level. It doesn't just "look good", the graphics actually enhance the gameplay.
