I'm Visually Impared. Does that mean I should sue every game company that doesn't conform to my way of playing?

Actually, I should come up with some BS story about how dedicated servers help my condition and throw it at IW/Activision.

Do people really read the whole article?

Quote:
"According to the suit, Sony ignored repeated requests through postal mail and e-mail to come up with reasonable modifications to its games to make them more accessible. The suit, which doesn't mention SOE games by name but appears to focus on massively multiplayer online titles, requests the addition of visual cues to point gamers to their destinations for gamers with "disability impaired visual processing."
Discrimination or not, I don't think it's fair to jump to the conclude saying he needs to get a life. I don't think it said he's fully blind. He could be color blind.

Quote:
"Blizzard Entertainment's World of Warcraft allows the use of third-party mods in its game, which has led to the creation of several programs to include accessibility aids in the game."
Well, if Blizzard allows that, then why can't Sony? Sony doesn't have to provide something that they can't but they should at least work with him on alternative solution. So, right now he's trying to spread the words around because he knows he's not only visually impaired gamers. I applaud him for doing that. Like I'm trying to spread the word around about having subtitles in every games so deaf gamers can enjoy playing like the rest of you hearing gamers.

Most of you should consider yourself fortunately because you're not either deaf, blind or let alone visually impaired. Some of you guys have no idea how frustrating it can be.

Now... if it did say he's fully blind- then that's a whole different story.

That has nothing to do with anything. You can't sue a company for not offering you things like this, it is a completely optional product and it is none of his business how they make their games.

I wanna sue because the controls in Risen aren't intuitive making me feel like I have a disability when I have none.....ohhh and that reminds me, I really need to sue Bioware cause NWN2 has even worse controls/camera.

She didn't order a side of sausage and syrup so I put them on her pancakes.

Yes it has something to do this and why are you guys complaining about games like lack of mouse support, blurry textures or even no dedicated servers? It shouldn't be any different. At least this person have better reasons to complain. I don't even know what exactly happened between him and SOE or the motivation to file a lawsuit against SOE (the article is pretty vague in details).

But if you can actually read... "...Sony ignored repeated requests through postal mail and e-mail to come up with reasonable modifications to its games to make them more accessible."

He's not asking how game's being made. He's not asking for money. He's asking for "reasonable" modifications (like, maybe enlarge the text, or high contrast colors for UI via patch or something). I don't think he's asking for something impossible. Again, SOE should at least reply and figure something out than flat out ignoring his requests.
