Thats not true. It uses a map cycle and you can vote to not play each map. Also, once you are playing with a group, unless the host drops you continue playing with the same people for the most part. Its not that random once you are in that "group". I know I've played a bit

I'm level 51 now in COD MW2.

I see where you are coming from playing with the same folks with a map rotation you like. I agree with you there unfortunately we never really bothered much with that stuff. I like the invite system you and your pals can get around in a pack and always on the same team. We have enjoyed that part of MW2 when a few of us are playing @ the same time.

As for the PB ban lists, I'm sure cheaters buy keys in groups / black, grey market keys, etc. If someone really wants to cheat there are still ways around PB and the ban lists.

I think we can all agree that we HATE cheaters with a passion though.

Really? Because I have over a day of online play and I haven't noticed a cycle on the maps in any of the lobbies I have been in. And I have played in a single lobby for many hours at a time. I think the maps are random, because I have played a map, then skipped one, played another, then the server said we were going to play the same map we played the first game. That has happened so many times to me it's really frustrating

Besides, I was referring to the fact that with dedicated server you explicitly set the map rotation, so you don't have to play all the maps. I know you can skip maps, but unless you have all your friends in there, skip votes aren't the easiest to pass.

I can't seem to get into this game like I did with CoD4. Still in the mid-30s, can't play for more than a few matches at a time before I lose interest.

I have found that it's much easier to get into if you try to master the weapons. So I played a bunch of matches with the AUG HBAR until I got all the attachments. Then I moved to the SCAR-H and I got all the attachments except one (damn FMJ penetration kills are a PITA to get lol). Also I am working on the M16A4 for which I also need the FMJ kills.

It's a fun game. And you level up quick with the challenges. (mastering each weapon is 10,000 XP a piece)

Yeah maybe I'll try that. I haven't really used to many different weapons yet.

Yea try a lot of different weapons. The M16A4 is really fun with the 3-shot burst.

It's the best AR in the game imo.

I am almost done with the M4A1 as well. One attachment left for that too. So I am looking at 30k XP potential heh.

M4A1 is great but the burst kills me sometimes. When you are going against tubers or heavy machine guns I get mowed down. Just unlocked the ACR, love it very accurate, not as much damage as say my AUG H but its been a great weapon and I get alot of kills with it. Leveling the guns is great.

I have the ACR (just unlocked it). I just like using the SCAR-H lol.

I will use the ACR next after I max out the M4A1, M16A4, and SCAR-H (just extended mags left on each of those).

SCAR does more damage than ACR. ACR is more accurate and faster rate of fire but less damage.

AUG H with handle and holographic is tight too. lots of damage, high rate of fire and accurate.

Grow a pair and play on hardcore and damage stat is useless.
