I didn't like the NWN/KotOR mix of combat & class systems. While it has nice some nice story it didn't grab me like KotOR did maybe it's because of my love of Star Wars.

Its NWN components (class, skills, etc.) leave a lot to be desired and without the ability to respec it makes choosing the wrong abilities early on a pain down the line. At least with NWN you had to place some focus into specific areas which helped give you an idea of what to expect down the line.

The "ambient" sound got to be a bit much after awhile (NWN was of course exactly the same way). I never had any stability problems with the game or any bugs that really bothered me too much, though it seems some scripted events failed to fire at times and I'd have to back out of the area and come back. Other than that BioWare is the king at these kinds of games, and while it's not my cup of tea, I'm sure others will get many more hours of enjoyment from it than I.

NWN1 still remains my all-time BioWare favorite, group play + solid expacs + user-driven content, not to mention the ability to do dungeon master type scenarios...oh yeah. Too bad it is so dated.

I voted no.

Its ok. But if I were to go back, I wouldn't buy it again. Not nearly as fun as Baldur's Gate or Neverwinter Nights.

It would be more fun if there was more killing and less jaw smacking. Right now, every corner I turn I have to listen to someone's stupid blabbering.

P.S. Hell yea I ran that bitch out of town for 100 silver.

Wow did you spend like 30 minutes on the game or something? There's so much combat in this game it's almost ridiculous.

I started out loving the story and hating the combat, I found it very difficult. My guys kept dying and such.

I love every bit of it now. The combat becomes simple when you learn to take your time and use everyone's abilities and strengths. The combat actually becomes pretty deep.

I did have the same feeling about the dungeons as well. Have you gone to the Deep Roads yet? I mean, I literally spent an entire day doing the Orzammar part of the game mostly because of the absolutely massive Deep Roads areas and nonstop attacks. If the combat wasn't so amazing in this game I'd have given up long ago from exhaustion!

Also regarding the large amounts of cultists, I think it was implied that many of them resided in the temple itself - there are living quarters in parts of it. Maybe they bunk up or something.

haha, this has to be the most idiotic complaint ever. only explanation is that you completely forgot what BG and NWN were and how they played.
