The only 3d is the chopper and effects though right?
Looks like the player is nailed to the ground and the backdrop is just a panoramic photo. And a groundplane that doesnt render, but recieve shadows. so the only things that are acctually rendered, looks to be the plane, and in some places, those funnel like flagthings that show wind direction and strength..

Yeah i know the idea is cheezy but it looks real nice.
And like I said you could change the camera view to follow the plane, but I think it's limited to a small contained area...I wish someone would make a FPS out of google maps street view already

Think I've got one of the old versions of that sim. If I remember correctly the graphics are good (due to it being a panoramic photo
) but the physics aren't. Nothing like the real thing, but they might have improved since then. |

Yup, I've been using Real Flight G4 for over 3 years now to practice my helicopter flights. It sure beats the hell out of spending wads of cash on repairing after every crash.
Best $200 I ever spent, saved me thousands probably. It comes with a nice USB controller. ![]() This is a video of me flying the real thing, from a while ago. I'm much better now.
