Hi everyone.
I want to use twinview with my lcd and a Hitachi HM-4520 monitor that is too old to support EDID. The appropriate modeline is: Modeline "1440x1080@72" 178.26 1440 1472 2144 2176 1080 1101 1114 1135 I have put a section like this in my xorg.conf: Code:
Section "Monitor"
Identifier "Monitor1"
Modeline "1440x1080@72" 178.26 1440 1472 2144 2176 1080 1101 1114 1135
EndSection
Thanks Sam |

In fact if someone just has a working xorg.conf that uses modelines to manually configure a device that would help a bit even if it doesn't use twinview.

Annoyingly this monitor works perfectly in windows - I guess it does do EDID but it doesn't work with the linux driver.

Please see the forum sticky posts about how to generate a bug report, paying special attention to the instruction on producing a verbose mode validation log.
