Right now, simply go to customize and control chrome, go to the EXTENSIONS link and then look in the extensions. Ad-block is listed as one of the extensions.

I just found AdThwart as a new extension. It uses EasyList and it works very well with Chrome!!! Removing Privoxy nao.

Don't forget about smoothscroll

Works brilliantly with Chrome and my free-spin logitech mouse peripherals

i've heard that all ad blocking extensions in chrome don't really block the ads, they only hide them, so you are still wasting bandwidth and downloading them but u can't see them..
anybody has info on this?

Interesting. That would suck if it were true but Chrome keeps things fast. Just as long as I don't have to see ads, I'll be good.

So what you are saying that even while doing MORE WORK and using more bandwidth and stuff than Firefox, Chrome still spanks it silly in terms of speed?

Cool, I'll stick with Chrome.

Just downloaded it today, I'm loving it so far, but the Adblocking isn't as good as FF. I am using Adblock Plus for Chrome and Smoothscroll.

I dont remember where i saw it, but its true. According to the devs of the extension, there is no way to prevent assets of a page from being loaded.

To me, its not exactly a bad thing, webmasters still get their money from the ads being downloaded (to the marketer that technically counts as a view because it is being downloaded.). I dont mind an extra MB here 'n there being "wasted".

You guys who are using SmoothScroll or Chromium Wheel Smooth Scroller...

I see the need for it but I didn't like this..

I take care of some financial business online, so didn't install either extension.

Thoughts?

from what I hear that's something that Chrome pops up on every extension just to cover their butts.
