Default More USB's.

I have a 80GB playstation, Now we have the buzz games, all of the singstar games(x2 mics), x2 controllers & the official ps3 headset.

There's only x2 USB sockets on the front of the 80GB ps3, if we want to have the buzz controllers/mics plugged in and one controller charging that obviously the best we can do due the the limited usb connections so i cant charge the other controller or the headset.

My question is this .... Has anybody ever tried using a usb adaptor to turn one the usb sockets on the front into x4 usb's? would a usb adaptor work?

Or is there another way round this?

Using a USB Hub works on the 360, I don't see why it wouldn't work on the PS3 too.

I am 99% sure that a USB hub works on PS3.

EDIT: Yes you can. I would get a powered USB hub to avoid potential power issues. But a cheaper non-powered one will work the same.

I didnt know there where different hubs!

How can you tell the difference between a powered & non-powered hub?

Ahhh right, Cool .... Cheers.

EDIT: As i said ... Its really just so i am able to charge both joypads & headset while either using the mics/buzz controllers at the same time.

LOL yea. Sorry thought that was self-explanatory.

The problem with non-powered hubs is that they all share power from the usb port the hub is plugged into. So there may not be enough power delivered to the devices.
