I have a second computer with a Core i7 920 CPU running at stock. I was looking for a cheap video card for some moderate gaming with it. The system has a 1680X1050 monitor. I can get
a BFG GTX 260 MaxxCore for $169 plus tax or a GTX 275 for $259. I don't know if the extra $90 would be worth it as the system can only game at 1680X1050. I do like to turn up all the settings though so I thought the GTX 275 would be better. What do you guys think?

You're gonna get a bunch of recommendations to get an AMD card....You can get a 4890 about the same price as the 260....

Thanks, but I'm not interested in AMD/ATI. I'm sticking with Nvidia for now. I've never had a problem with Nvidia's cards, and I had a ton of trouble with the X1800 I once owned. I just don't know the performance difference between the GTX 260 and GTX 280. For $169 the GTX 260 looked like a good deal to me. The old GTX 260 once sold for $400!
