Hi!
Since nvidia-settings is not capable of setting up xinerama-setups, is there any user-friendly documentation about all this stuff like what metamodes in xorg.conf mean? Can wrong metamodes kill your performance, like firefox behaving as it would have to draw on a much bigger screen and thus being slower? I ask because i redid my xorg.conf and now my triple-head xinerama setup is alot faster and i wonder why. Thanks! |

That's possible. Old versions of Nautilus had a bug where it would repaint the entire screen whenever you opened a menu. It's certainly possible that newer applications have similar bugs. |
