Surprised 360 is out selling the PS3. PS3 has better games this holiday and hardware. I guess all those banningS resulted in many buying new systems to play MW2.

The real news is in the software. If you were a dev, which would be your priority platform based on the software sales?

I don't think Sony can ever retake the lead, this gen is lost to them.

Which sucks.

I think they can next year actually... They are only 7 million units behind worldwide and since the price drop this is the first time the X360 came out on top (in the US, worldwide PS has had the lead month after month) and with GT releasing next year thats a console seller in Europe...

I'm not suprised, considering they banned like 1 million 360's from XBL this past month.

The math doesn't add up even with GT being a console seller in Europe. They would have to sell a few hundred thousand every month and unless Sony chops off another $100 I cant see that happening.

This year alone the PS3 sold more then 2 million units then the X360. Next year with a giant game like GT releasing and if Agent from Rockstar proves to be the next GTA3 its a sure thing.

Sorry magus, but fanboy hope isn't going to overshadow reality. Even if PS3 continues to outsell 360(worldwide only, not the US), it will take 3 and a half years before they catch up. Its certainly not going to happen next year, unless MS takes the 360 off the market for some magical reason.
