hhm, this does not work, mit KDE still hangs after 1 or 2 Minutes !
What about the Agp setting ?

shortly after sending that last post, X locked up.

i'm trying to find the 46.20 drivers to give them a go... where are they? they're not easily finable on the nvidia website.

my X ran for at least 10 mins before crashing. i opened tons of windows GIMP and everything, but it only locked up as I was finished closing most of them down. the GL screensavers were going the fastest i'd ever seen them, i went through all of them (that's quite a few in Linux

).

maybe theres more AGP settings we should be tweaking in the BIOS & in /etc/rc.d/rc.modules

PS: what is your hardware?

I think these Options at the bottom change automatically with the ones you`ve changed from line 100 on. This is just an overview, i think.

I'Ve also tried the 46.20, and they do not work either.

My Hardware:

Athlonxp 1700+@2600+,Geforce4ti4200,Elitegroup k7ama mainboard (with ali Magik1 chipset), 256mb ddr-ram and so on....
