After reading this thread I'll wait for a PC version since I no longer have my 360.

If the foliage looks this bad on the ps3 throughout the entire game I really don't know why rockstar didn't bother to do a better job on that point. Even if it's a performance problem they still could easily have made different textures for the ps3 version that don't look that bad. I wouldn't mind the lack of AA that much in a console game, since view distance shall be my AA anyhow, but this just seems to a lack of commitment.

ps. Hell, will get the ps3 version anyway because I have no intention to create even more cable mess by adding another console to my setup and the game will be 10€ for me since I'll trade in other titles which I am to lazy to sell online otherwise. I should work on my developer punishment skills, bad me!

Wow that sucks to hear I was going to buy it for the PS3 because only have that console, but maybe I will just wait for the PC version

Are you kidding me?

The foliage looks 3D on the 360 and like 2D sheets on PS3. Also the PS3's foliage is sparse and doesn't fill in the landscape. It looks like **** on PS3.

The texture resolution is much better on 360 too. Look at the ground.

Yeah the ground foliage looks like cartoon seaweed on the PS3 version, it's more filled in and grasslike on the 360.

Actually the textures are identical it's just that the ps3s use of QAA hurts it.

It's probably the QAA which is also hurting the transparent textures on the foliage. If you could turn it off both games might look identical.

I've seen the game almost side by side and once you're playing on the couch they both look the same, I'd go as far to say the PS3 runs a little smoother, but as with GTAIV, the stutters can be random at times.

I'd still go with the 360 version for now though. Microsoft seems to be really supporting the game, any DLC will probably only show for 360 as with GTAIV. :

Well the PS3 version actually has some exclusive content right out of the box so I doubt that the X360 would get exclusive DLC. I think the performance issues and LOD issues could easily be resolved on the PS3 if they patched the game to support a larger install to the HD.

Maybe they will even do a Ghostbusters and patch it to fix the short comings.

Bought this last night for PS3 but didn't have time to play.

The lower res upscaled and blurriness I expected but that foliage looks pretty horrible

I'm sure I'll still enjoy the game though, but I'm thinking now I want it to come to PC all that much more.

Ah well. I go the PS3 version anyway. Had it pre ordered weeks ago. The differences wont bother me much and I can always get it again on PC IF it arrives and it's in a playable state.
