ARMA2's "Supersonic bullet effect" the effect caused by a bullet passing by you, a cracking noise. experiencing it feels like watching news footage or a documentary movie.

This is a tough one.

Some of my favorites:

The male screaming death sound from Deus Ex (GEEEAAAHHHHHHHHHhhhh!),

The squish sound from Command and Conquer when you run people over.

Actually... pretty much any sound from Command and Conquer Red Alert, Doom or Quake. I could easily identify pretty much every effect used in any of those games.

The "Headshot" sound in UT99 is a classic that comes to mind.

The sound of the doors opening and closing in Doom. That and just about every other sound in Doom and Doom II.

The jumping sound your character would make in Quake 1. Many other sounds in that game too, as well as the awesome soundtrack. Quake 2 and 3 had some memorable sounds too.

Kinda for the lameness, but it stuck with me for all these years. The commentary from Altered Beast on Megadrive (Genesis). "POWER UP!" ... "RISE FROM YOUR GRAVES!" lol that **** was memorable.

When you hit a monster in Diablo 2, that crunching sound is most satisfying.

But I agree the various sounds that the jewelry, equipment and even the rune stones (sthllllp) make are also lovely on the ears.
