UUUUUULLLLLLTRAAAAAAA COOOOOOOOMMMMMBOOOOOOOOO!!!!

If anyone can remember... I certainly do, and to this day it still is the one sound that I think of when I read about or converse about Arcade games, and "going to the Arcades", when you entered in "an Arcade" (that's how I used to call those places even though they often had specific names) it usually was the one sound that would basically go above all others wherever it was placed, simply because it was all so damn loud, and so damn awesome.

But that's a "side category" (Arcade), if I had to go with a PC game it would be any sounds from any of the DOOM games except for DOOM 3 simply because DOOM 3 is just not as memorable and "classic" as the "originals" were (DOOM, DOOM 2 and even Final DOOM), and from that series if I have to pick up just one sound it would have to be the firing and hitting sound of the BFG 9000: zzzzzZZZZZZZZZEEEEEE POOOOOOOOOW!!!!.

Ahhhh... yes... good memories, indeed... good memories.

*Wipes tear*

Wololo from Age of Empires! It started off as very annoying in the first one, and then in later versions it became an entertaining flashback.

Best sound for me has to be the sound of an enemy getting gibbed in Quake1. Nothing else comes close except maybe the hilarious laugh of the insane space marines in Quake 2.

after 5 years of it..yea.... the everquest ding is probably a sound I can spot anywhere now. ff7 theme is a close second. Between the game, and the movies phone theme, I heard it alot.

No wait..I got another! the pipe bombs in quake1. You heard them ALOT in the original teamfortress... mirv packs ftw!
