I will get Win7 as soon as I can afford it. That's been the only real reason I don't have it right now. I have zero problems with XP Pro 32bit, but I still want Win7. I use 4GB (2GB x 2) right now, but would love to upgrade in the future.
(plus I have WinXP Pro Corp. Ed. w/ SP3 and love that fact that I can just reinstall any time without any hassle) I do have an extra 250GB HDD that is not being used at all right now, so I may dual-boot at first. I'm really looking forward to Win7 64bit. |

Same... its frustrating
I keep doing thigns like grabbing windows and tryign to snap them to the right of left side of my screen. And alt+tabbing then missing my window by only 1 space in a cluster of like 30.... I try and click on this missed one and nothing happens.... it's because of simple and useful stuff like that I miss. I bet when we finally do upgrade we'll be on Windows 7 with the windows 95/98 classic theme.... that's how they roll out XP here. I've been using the Windows XP silver them instead...

We've been requesting a replacement rig for years now... seems corporate is content to make us use the piece of junk till it simply doesn't power on anymore. |

Gotta love all the stuff they load "work" laptops with when they don't work.... I'm consistently pushing 1.5gb of RAM being used just doing normal work things

Our work rig... the RAM is nearly 100% maxed continuously and I'm sure the pagefile doesn't have much available either. ![]() |

![]() That's pretty bad. I think our biggest bane is Pointsec/Check point. It protects your hdd by destroying your data ![]() At least that's the general consensus at my office. |
