Delete partitions b4 reinstalling win7?

I have an HP lappy with 4 partitions running win7 home. I want to stick a fresh win7 ultimate on it but I don't want 4 partitions. Can I do that while installing? Never saw that option.

Yes, you should get the option to create/delete partitions when installing (at the point you are selecting where to install). I think there is a link that says something like 'Custom...' that takes you to a screen where you can create/delete partitions etc.

I'm sure someone will jump in with more accurate details, but you should be able to see the link during the install.
