Doesn't matter what they do, even if they included a US marine, armed to the teeth, instructed to shoot to kill should you even think about copying the game people would just ply the marine with beer/jello shooters and maybe some gift certificates to the local exotic dancer parlor. Then Bam...... all over the internet.

DRM doesn't protect anything.....people who were gonna buy the game....buy the game, people who were gonna the game..... the game. All you've done as a software/game developer is waste some of your profit margin implementing useless DRM.

Can anyone find a single game made in the last 10 years that has non-circumventable DRM?

I agree with this up until a certain point. Without SOME form of copy protection, disk copying and sharing between friends would be far more prevalent. I think a simple disk check does as much good as anything else.

Care to clarify the part I bolded? How is thing going to affect you in any way?
Well it won't affect me in anyway, but hopefully enough people would boycott BS2 to make them rethink their DRM policy next time. Like what happened with BS1 when they lifted the activation limits. I definitely won't buy it for the price they are asking with all those limitations imposed on it. The only reason I bought the original BS was because they lifted the limited activations.

Why care if it doesn't affect you? You're only keeping yourself from playing an awesome game because of having to do some extra steps when installing your game?

I think this whole boycott drm was started by pirates when they couldn't play a game they wanted the same day the legal customers could.
GTA IV and ME sales were reportedly higher due to their method of DRM. Loved seeing people posting threads about some missing things in their games, being royally pissed off at BioWare, on the official BioWare forums when these things were known to affect only the pirated copies.

Apparently no activation limits so I can buy the game after all.

No for me the boycott is important because the only way to tell a company they made a mistake is to make them loose money on a product. When you see a company or person doing something wrong you need to speak up. Don't hide in the corner of "let someone else do it". The reason I care even if it doesn't affect me is because I have on a few occasions been burned by the DRM but I said nothing because it was simpler to just go get a cracked EXE for a product I bought than to deal with support and that shouldn't ever happen.

You cant loan COD MW2 or FEAR 2 out once they are activated and installed into Steam. I'd have to give them my Steam account information.

If you bought a game with 5 install securom limit, whats to stop me from lending them the disk??

What they are doing with Bioshock 2 really deserves it to be boycotted IMO. While I still would rather everything be DRM free that I know is unrealistic, but putting 3 types on is just insanity. Two of the DRMs have activation limits Securom = 5, GFWL IIRC some higher number like 15. IIRC the third form of DRM is Steam if you buy there, or retail a disc check (seriously WTF).
Look earlier in this thread. Securom is being used only for physical copy, and it is a disk check ONLY, no online activations through Securom. GFWL is being used for MP, Achievements, saves if you want them to be available through online.

Can we edit the title since BioShock 2 is probably DRM-lite for current times?

It's misleading for people who don't read the whole thing.
