They have to make a lot of improvements over the original to get me to get this game...

Yeah, I played the original for 5 minutes before I put it down forever.

That said, this one looks much improved. Still, because of the original, it is a definite wait for reviews or demo game.

The first one was a bit weird. For the first 5-10 minutes I thought it was absolute garbage but then suddenly I found myself having loads of fun with it. I'm hoping that they don't mess with the formula too much because the first one had some really unique stuff that made it awesome once you got past the hilarious presentation.

Could never get the first one to work right, and then there were the patches upon patches upon patches... When I finally did get to play a bit, the models were all jittery and dodgy like a Playstation One game or something. Couldn't enjoy it, couldn't be bothered.

Wonder how they'll fare with this one...

I want to get the original and give it a go. Problem is everywhere I see it, they still charge almost RRP. ::

Graphics remind me a lot of Oblivion- in some shots it looks worse than Oblivion.

No idea about the story as I've never played of nor heard of this game till now.

I tried playing it a few times but stopped after a few minutes. This past weekend I decided to give it another go and once I got into the first town and started getting the quests there it got a lot better and I am actually enjoying it now. I don't know why they compare it to Oblivion. It compares a lot more to Gothic 3 in how it plays and looks to be honest. I am a sucker for a good looking RPG with large areas to explore so the sequel will be a blind buy for me for sure.
