Personally i welcome anything that could possibly kill piracy on the pc. This sound like good news as long as there is no monthly or yearly fee involved.

This isn't much of a loss for me.

I've never played a Ubisoft game that I'd rate higher than a 7/10. If my internet goes down for an extended period of time I doubt I'll be going crazy if I can't play any Ubisoft games.

Have you ever BEEN to Central Virginia? Yes, we spend time catching up and spend time together, but if you're stuck inside for a week you need SOMETHING other than each others company.

If you Google "Fun things to do in Central Virginia" the world explodes.

Personally I can't believe it's taken this long for this to start catching on. I think it will not be a problem for the majority of people but a few people will have issues and then people will have issues because those people might have issues

I haven't had a problem with an Ubi game since Splinter Cell Double Agent.

It's about time somoene realized this was the way to go.

All the need to do i keep some part of the game on the server, like an mmo does and piracy will be screwed. (well make it harder anyway)

That's great for companies that intend to nickle and dime customers with DLC. For companies that actually want to provide a, GASP, complete game to the customer, this significantly drives up costs. Servers aren't free to own and maintain.

Have no problem with that. I have internet on 24 hours 7 days every week. Rarely it goes down and if it does- I can always boot up other games to play until then.

What about R6V/2, you cant tell me those games didn't have some serious problems! R6V2 wasnt as bad as the first but I didnt like it anyway. As far as FC2 I ended up having to reinstall and play unpatched because 1.01, 1.02 and 1.03 cause my computer to freeze when loading maps. I think since SC3 Ubisoft has really gone downhill in terms of quality, with an exception of GRAW/AC

For now. If this catches on then you're totally screwed if you can't get online. For anyone who plays games on a laptop this would really hurt the portability factor.
