Which difficulty level would you guys recommend for Deus Ex: Human Revolution? I do like a challange, but if it means that you miss out on some of the game's variety of gameplay styles etc. and/or it becomes frustratingly hard at some points, I'd rather save it for a possible 2nd playthrough.
In the old days I'd choose medium or "second to hardest" anytime, but seeing how games have become increasingly easy, I've begun to take the hardest road more and more - though not always become some games are truly hard on the hardest difficulty setting. Recommendation? ![]()

Worth playing this one on hard, it's not too difficult. Only the bosses are a pain until you work out how to take them down. Bosses that had no place in this, but that's one for another day.

Just started on hard (/"Deus Ex") difficulty level. No regrets at all. What a great game so far...

Yeah I did my first playthrough on Deus Ex. It's really not a lot harder than normal, it just disabled the yellow highlights by default and makes you take more damage I think. Didn't notice any differences in the enemy AI. If anything the augmented reality option just makes it easier to notice items hidden around the levels.

You can play on the hardest difficulty and never shoot anyone, minus the bosses.
I'd play at the hardest difficulty level if i were you and just remember to save often. |

The bosses are a pain if you try to fight them the way the game intended... I learned quickly that Stun Gun and Combat Rifle to the face takes them out in less then 2mins.

But having played the game some 6 hours now, I'm confident that hard/"Deus Ex" difficulty is right for me regardless ![]()
