I'll try that one when I get home, if it performs well enough to super sample I would love it, since the shimmering is really annoying in this game and only SSAA can get rid of that.

Screenshot with 24x Edge-detect AA - a little to demanding to be really playable for me but someone with a 58xx should give it a try.
It looks the best of all the ATI options for AA IMO. Nvidia owners will get an even better result with SSAA I am sure.

I seem to be having framerate issues with this game, and it's only when I force AA. It seems similar to the issue on the Citadel from the first game where your fps were basically cut in half. I have a quad core processor and dual GTX 275's. Certain areas of the game give me around 20 fps when AA is forced. For example, in the engineering floor of the Normandy, I get about that with AA on. When I turn it off, it's back to 60 fps. I have tried every single AA compatibility mode in nHancer and only one gives me around 50 fps (it still should be maxing at 60) and it's the 08020205 one.

Anyone else with SLI and forcing AA have the same issues as me? I get random framerate drops too in other places, such as the first mission in certain places, and I don't know why.

Try diabling your second card, it could be an SLI issue. I have one 275 and get great framerates at 4xMSAA on the profile you said was worse. I can try your profile when I get home as well as SSAA.

AA still won't work with the .exe named UT3.exe, I've never done this before, is there anything else I should try?

The game is fantastic though. I tried to play the first early last year and the graphics kinda pissed me off to the point where I didn't get into it enough to be hooked so gave up on it.

This one not only has much better immersive graphics but pulled me right in to the game in just a few hours. The only let down graphically is the clothing/armour textures and general body skins in general. The faces are highly detailed, then the body is just bleh... just look at the N7 text on shephards armour to see what I'm talking about. Or Jack, her tats are all low res except for the ones that continue on her neck, since that's part of her face texture they're much higher res. The annoying thing is I think they probably have the high res textures and could've released them... if this were PC exclusive, I bet they would have. It's not all that bad most of the time and I've seen a lot worse. It's just disappointing and a bit of a graphical distraction.

Anyway the controls are great, the story is pretty good so far and most of the characters/voice acting is top notch The aussie chick while whiney at times is still refreshing for me as I can't really think of a game with an aussie in it let alone one who plays a hot chick The amount of dialogue in the game is amazing! There must be like 30+ hours of dialogue, this is a pretty big step as far as RPG's go.

I would say this was going to be my game of the year, but it being so early in the year and with what games are still to come I doubt it will be by years end. Who knows tough, it could very well be.

slightly different, there is no jump, space is used for few things: activate, cover, wault

I beat Mass Effect 1 over a year ago... playing off my ME1 saved character. Having a tough time remembering WTF happened in the first game.. haha. All I know is I was a renegade... so at least I know to continue being a total badass! Actually me trying to remember is bringing more to the story. Kind of follows the start of the plot! lol.
