Could someone explain how the character transfer process works? Can I uninstall ME1 (while keeping the saves, of course) and still have it work properly?

Got my amazon copy in the mail an hour or so ago... I have to say, not because of the Steam debate but because it's true, this is one of the sexiest collector's editions I have ever bought. Thick, heavy packaging and a slick black design... looks sweet. Might post pictures of it later. Much better than the Dragon Age one.

Not playing the game yet, sadly... waiting on finishing the original, which I should be able to do in 30-40 minutes, as I am at the very end.

That's too bad about the lack of native controller support given that this is an AA multiplatform title.

http://masseffect.bioware.com/info/f...ve_import_work and http://meforums.bioware.com/viewtopi...4907&forum=144 have some info on importing characters. It doesn't sound like you need the game installed, just some save games.

yea theres alot of that happening i got stuck in that same place, you can actually walk outside of the walls there and look around at the map from the outside, also some times you'll step up onto a table or chair and then you cant get back down. save often. f5

I got the retail ver installed but I can't log into the EA net thing, it just sits there "Please Wait...". No way to close it.

Same boat, pissing me off too considering I already had to deal with the extra 12 hours on the STEAM DDE, thanks EA.
