Just had a very quick blast myself. SLI don't work right and mouse acceleration is poor, but liking it otherwise.

Running without SLI on the 260, the FPS dropped below 60 in a coouple of rooms, but mainly pegged at 60 so far. I need new drivers

Does AA work?

Just got the game. Now I'm playing both this one and Mass Effect 2. I'm just going to take my time with both of them and fully enjoy both. Note. No walk command in B2 as there was in B1. I'm a little bummed about that cause I like to leisurely walk around when I want to. I don't run around in everything I do like I did when I was a kid.

I cant seem to get AA working even with nhancer,anyone care to share a working profile that I could import overwriting the one I been fiddling with? I'm using XP-Sp3 and 2-8800gt's still.I'm pegged at 60fps with no AA at 1920x1080m so Im sure I could handle 2x or maybe 4xAA.

Edit:worked perfectly,4xaa-16/af 60fps solid.I'm not seeing any texture pop-in either,but there are a lot of low-res textures in the game.

AA is just really annoying in the game, everything runs fine and then all of a sudden looking at a flame or even some random wall will knock me down from 60fps to 35fps and it feels so jarring. Reminds me of Far Cry 2 honestly, is there a way to limit the framerate to 45 or something?

Other than that I like the game a lot, I'm in "Journey to the Surface" right now. It really is an expansion though, completely. Just for that I would have to knock the score down quite a bit if I were reviewing it.

I was using 2x2 and it was in the 45fps+ range, with occasional dips to 35fps, however there seemed to be micro stutters because it was not all that fluid. I switched to 4xMSAA and it looks just as good or better, and feels a lot more fluid.

I'm gonna hold of playing this until new drivers are out, unless someone knows how to get SLI running properly?

To get PROPER mouse in both BioShock games you need to do this to the user.ini

first, to lower the overall sensitivity of the mouse, you need to lower the speed values from the default circle spinning value.

MouseX=IF_MOUSE_LOOK_ENABLED Count bXAxis | IF_MOUSE_LOOK_ENABLED Axis aMouseX Speed=2500.0
MouseY=IF_MOUSE_LOOK_ENABLED Count bYAxis | IF_MOUSE_LOOK_ENABLED Axis aMouseY Speed=2500.0

to

MouseX=IF_MOUSE_LOOK_ENABLED Count bXAxis | IF_MOUSE_LOOK_ENABLED Axis aMouseX Speed=750.0
MouseY=IF_MOUSE_LOOK_ENABLED Count bYAxis | IF_MOUSE_LOOK_ENABLED Axis aMouseY Speed=750.0

Make sure to do a REPLACE ALL

Mouse sensitivity in-game works best at 2 (so the menu mouse is about the same as in-game)

next, bind a key to disable acceleration AND smoothing (the real problem). binding it to a key that you use often (usually the first key you will press before touching the mouse will make it easier to make the bind as invisible as possible)

I chose W because it made the most sense.

W=MoveForward | set Engine.PlayerInput MouseAccelThreshold 0.0 | set Engine.PlayerInput MouseSmoothingMode 0

Launch the game and move the mouse without hitting W, then hit W and notice the difference.

Maybe one day someone will come up with a way to have set Engine.PlayerInput MouseAccelThreshold 0.0 | set Engine.PlayerInput MouseSmoothingMode 0 launch after every level load. Until then...this is the best that I can do.
