The myth that consoles hold back PC games is a silly one. Consoles mess with the UI and such, but for pure graphics power it is more how slow people are to upgrade that causes issues. There is a reason Dragon Age and Left 4 Dead lead on PC and look pretty low on the graphics scale: PC games have to be built to play on old rigs, sub-360 hardware.

And when Crysis came out and wanted MORE POWER what did people do? They complained they could not max it on an 8800.

So yeah, let us not blame consoles. The only thing they are arguably responsible for is low-res textures.

The AA was terrible quality in the first one, could never get real AA to work correctly.

DX10 isn't fail, this isn't 2007 "Crysis Time" anymore. Comeon get updated

However the technical level of Assassins Creed 2 and heavy console technology emphasis does little to make me miss DX10 in this case. No biggie IMO.

Please be more specific with the thread title btw.. "assassins creed to for pc to be only DX9..fail", I didn't know if you meant the first, second or upcoming installment.
