I lost my interest in getting psp.
I would more likely get a normal console. Had already a 360 and I know how it is. Would get it again but noticed some great PS3 titles so Iam considering ps3 Can I hook up ps3 to my sammy22 display? It have DVI and old VGA inputs only. |

HDMI to VGA? EEEEEW.
At least do DVI. ![]() Just get a HDMI to DVI adapter ($~16), and hook up the audio via RCA jacks (comes with the PS3) to your sound source (may need a splitter for that). It's an adapter that plugs both RCA (red and white) into a single 3.5mm jack. Total package costs about $25-45 US with tax. Here's the audio splitter. ![]() http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...ductId=2103709 And the male HDMI to DVI connector. Also note that your LCD has to support HDCP or else it won't work. But it's definitely worth the quality.

Thanks. I wanted to get x360 but I am more and more on ps3 side.
Wifi and free mp gameplay. Uncharted Uncharted 2 Killzone 2 God of War series Shadow of the colossus sequel(to be released) Heavy rain And a bit more games. You think that is enough over Gears of war2 and ...e... xbox dont have anything more ![]() I can get most xbox stuff on pc. What cables comes with ps3? I have my pc connected to 2,1 speakers(just one cable). Will I have to swtich cables or this jack splitter will do the trick? Ohhh and Slim or Phat? Also Dualshock3 is the heavier\rumble controller? ps. HDCP - I don;t know does my 226bw have this. it is 1680x1050 native. Does ps3 have 16:10 resolutions like x360? I had no problem witch setting any resolution on 360 |

These are pretty cheap http://www.ncix.com/products/?sku=47...facture=Unitek and should do the job.
note: the ps3 would be a better product if they could design a decent menu system, especially the system settings and playstation store. What a mess. Ps: DVI does not carry sound (while hdmi does), so you will have to setup the secondary sound output on the ps3. |

Yea I have done it. Use a HDMI to DVI converter (female HDMI to male DVI) and use a regular AV cable for the audio (red and white RCA to minijack). When you setup the display on the PS3, make sure to set the audio output settings (usually at the end of the display settings it asks you if you want to) and you're all set.

It says "Most Active Topics
How To Use Your 226BW HDCP Compliant Monitor As A TV" And under specs it says "DVI(HDCP)" I have two outputs. DVI and Dsub. It seems DVI is called HDCP. Next questions!!! 1.What is on PSN? 2.Do I have do pay for everything? 3.Are there demos for most of games? 4.Can I install games like on 360? 5.Can I play games like killzone2etc for free over WI-FI? Would love to kick some nvnews members arses ![]() 5.How "durable" is ps3. Does is have issues like 360? 6.What can You say about ps3 dualshock3. I have only used x360 pad and it was quite comfortable... only it was getting very "sweaty", and I had to clean my hands a LOT. 7.Backward compatibility? Only needed for Shadow of the Colossus. 8.Can I use ps3 to browse internets (offcourse in simple way) 9.Standing Vertical horizontal. I prefer Vertical-phat vs Slim. 10.And finally how is it overall. Share Your opinions on gaming etc etc Sorry to have tons of question but I have to be sure. it costs A LOT in here and games also are quite expensive so I have to make a not fail choice I watched plenty of reviews but those are all quite the same... |

1) Alot of stuff, look around.
2) Demo's are free, Games cost money. You can also get Themes, Trailers and other things free. 3) Alot of demos but some games don't have a demo. 4) No 5) All MP on the PS3 is free. The only subscription service Sony offers is Qore. 5-2) Very reliable, the system is probably one of the most reliable consoles ever made. 6) I prefer the Dualshock over the X360 controller, im just more use to it. 7) Unless you got one of the original units then only with the PSX Games. 8) Yes 9) I have mine horizontal right now. 10) I love my PS3, it offers a wide range of genres to play and when a game is developed specifically for it they truly shine. |

Actually you can install certain games to the hard drive. I've installed Street Fighter 4, Uncharted, and Metal Gear Solid 4 so far. I would absolutely LOVE to install Demon's Souls, but it doesn't have the option for it. It must vary from game to game.
