How queer. That same friend I mentioned has almost identical specifications to me too, but he can't replicate the bugs I'm experiencing. The only difference between myself and him is that I use Windows 7/DX10 and he's using older drivers.

Hmm!

Damn, it's hard to get around to playing this when you have ME2 on the table. I probably won't play much single player while I am still in the process of playing ME2, and just get in some multiplayer here and there.

Narcissist, we should get a game or two of coop sometime this weekend. I won't be able to go out because half of my friends are out of town and my Mom is coming in town so I'll have a **** ton of time to game this weekend.

So that means what to me wishing the marine campaign was longer?

Folks worrying about the low review scores - I think it's pretty safe to ignore them. The marine campaign is fantastic.

The Alien campaign is well done, but for some reason everything just looks cheaper, almost cell shaded in a couple of spots, like the initial level opening in the cell. Had fun with it though.

The predator campaign - I seriously think it's a step down from AVP2's pred campaign. The whole point of being the predator is enjoying his weaponry and power - it just feels neutered and weak, not to mention way to much crap going on in the hud. Weakest 3rd of the SP imo.

Heh... yeah. If I don't like the other two as much I guess I will join you there.

It seems to be a love it or hate it game, I am assuming based on whether an interactive Aliens experience makes you get all hard in the pants.

Which it does for me.

Hah my sentiments exactly, I think the game's great.
The melee combat with the Predator vs Aliens is kinda tough though, had a hell of a time getting past the 2 groups in the jungle level. I had to drop it down to Normal
On the other hand the Marines are pretty much toast, unless there's 3 or 4 and they manage to corner you.

FYI, EVGA has a new SLI patch up with a profile for the game. Worked for me as I couldn't get SLI working on my 295 no matter what I renamed the profiles etc.

And for those who are worried about the lack of AA and have yet to try it, the game looks fantastic even without it. I'm a sucker for image perfection but this game looks fine @1920x1080 on a 37" screen. For those gaming on a smaller monitor I'd imagine it would be even less noticeable as your dot pitch would be way tighter than mine. I honestly barely notice the aliasing at all. The character models are excellent, nary a jaggie to be seen.

I think my favourite thing about the game though are the sound effects, they're all spot on, I love the Predators purr/growl. You feel like such a bad ass when he does it after you rip someones head and spine out through their stomach

WTF?! I didn't see any special editioin at Best Buy. The idea that some games have special content is starting to annoy me.

So, there's no way to get the facehugger if you don't have the hunter edition?
