Hmm!

I fixed this! Had to click "disable visual themes" under the compatibility tab. But now my framerate is being killed by the smoke/mist effects...

Edit: okay, after STALKER failed to launch in DX10 and getting even more errors in AvP DX9 and DX11 versions, I decided to do a full driver reinstall of my video card drivers. Everything works like it should now, don't need to mess with compatibility tab. I've got no idea how my drivers became nuked like this but at least it's over now.

Finished the marine campaign, wasn't impresses really. Very generic, repetitive, poor dialogue, difficulty imbalances, aliens do weird things on walls sometimes, shoddy ending.

Alien campaign isn't much to write home about either at this stage, the start was nice in the lab but the rest meh. I will say I do like the graphics though.

im not too bothered about predator franchise, its the alien franchise i love more

Agreed! I love playing as a Marine, want to see that expanded upon. No more being a loner, play with a full squad.

I was thinking the opposite. Graphics are disappointing but I do love the anticipation of death type fear of the Aliens tracking you down

The Game is awesome! I like the graphics style... dark and dirty and in the PC Version the textures looks great

But anyone else problems with DX11 mode (stuttering, slowdowns, hang ups) and Win7 64bit, 280GTX? With the DX9 mode i haven´t those problems...

I figured out what was causing the outlines around models (sort of like a crappy cel shading), as well as random lines being drawn on textures in DX11. In my CCC I had AF set to force 16X, and after I put it on Application Setting, the borders and lines went away. The game looks flawless now, and it runs great, except for some random framerate drops for no visible reason.
