I think that might just be for them actually allowing you to host a dedicated player match, which is useless since you gain ZERO xp from it, which means you will not unlock the bonus skins in MP.

The game isn't out here until Friday and I'm going to a music festival on sat so probably won't be buying it until Sunday.

Hopefully they fix the minor issues with a patch... maybe even before I buy it? lol would be nice...

If you have SLI systems, go into "NVApps.xml" and find the game (it is named "Aliens vs Predator 3").

Nvidia f*cked it up and have the executable file as "avp3.exe". So to get SLI support either rename it to "avp.exe" or simply go to your game's folder and rename the executable file to "avp3.exe" (if you have the retail version as you can't alter the filename if you got it from Steam)

I like this game, but they shouldn't have released it yet. This stuttering issue is terrible, dedicated servers not being ready is dumb... too many issues at launch.

Or you can use the nHancer utility.

I've had crashing in the alien campaign, and am not really crazy about some small design decisions, but other than being unable to get decent screens using Fraps no real issues here. DX9 or 10 only though.

My screens all come out super dark even in the jungle level. The only other thing I'm not crazy about is, on normal difficulty anyway, your weapons are chosen for you at the beginning of each level. But choices are plentiful enough it doesn't take long to get what I want.

Good fun so far, just got to the ruins, so still quite a bit to go in the marine campaign.

Fraps working OK here. Having a great time with the Marine campaign, haven't gotten too far into it I don't think. The aliens look fantastic! Shots (resized) taken with just 'Normal' settings and ambient occlusion off. The ol' 8800GT is showing her age, but I can pretty much maintain 60fps as long as I use the aforementioned settings.
