W7 Beta closing - now what?
Hi all,
looks like i have a matter of days before the beta starts to close down. MS tell me i need to purchase a full version which i'm happy to do, however i really dont want to do a fresh install & lose the way i have the rig running now. What are my options, cant i just purchase the full release & use the product key? Am i really going to have to do a fresh install? Any tips/help appreciated, thanks.

Yeah I was able to upgrade from RC to Final by altering the file on the disc. No problems here.

Thanks Doc, i hope so, going to bite the bullet next week & purhcase, strange as i thought MS would have implemented something simple for beta testers rather than a complete reinstall.

Blade just be aware that altering that file might work, or upgrade might fail
In most cases it works fine. Just backup your important files.
