well idk how loud the 295's are or w/e my 260's are quiet i use evga precision to turn the fan speed sup to 70% but it doesn't bother me

295 fans get pretty loud under load, and HOT.

It's a kickass card performance-wise, though.

Quad SLI was even more kickass, but I decided to sell one because the heat and noise were overwhelming.

It was like an F-15 was taking off when I played STALKER.

I learned my lesson about so called "pre-ordering" long ago.

I'll grab one from Newegg when they hit. Or possibly; Mwave, or ZZF.

Honestly that low price of 299$ seems reasonable for the GTX 470 after seeing nvidia's own benchmark of unigine heaven. It really wouldn't bode well for nvidia if they tried selling a card, that offers the same performance as the competitor, for a premium.
I'm guessing these are going to be priced very competitively.

I'm with you MikeC. Although I have my doubts that NVidia will come thru this round. Too secretive too close to launch. Usually have some decent leaks by now......sorry guys, but I'm afraid ATI has the upper hand and Nvidia knows it.

I'm looking for a nice upgrade for my GTX260 216 core card. It's been a great card. Only time will tell. But for now, it's ATI all the way.
