The whole card is wood, GPU and all. NVIDIA has discovered wood to be superior to silicon for all electrical devices.

(but only blue spruce, it turns out the chemical that gives them that bluish tint is a super conductant)

Hey just saying, doesn't seem like you where but I also don't have any issues. All I know is I'll go with the best performance for the best dollar any day. NVIDIA will get my business when they put out a good card again, hell I had a GTX260 for a while it offered good performance. I just went with ATI on my last build and I plan to stick with ATI for my next upgrade too. Price not performance is the ultimate decision maker for me anymore.

That would be the same for 90% of the worlds population as well.

Oh by the way, because I can't find this on the forums anywhere even though it's a major bug and a major screw up by NVIDIA. Guess their drivers aren't as great, at least ATI never fried my video card.

http://www.engadget.com/2010/03/05/n...-graphics-car/

Sorry had to post it, just saying that both companies screw up. ATI has done a very good job lately with making working reliable drivers. At least for me they have. NVIDIA does to but this proves that they can screw up.

I was still waiting on the new 3D drivers. So I never got these installed either. Lucky by the sounds of it.

I've been using them for 3 days. Even played SCII and everything was fine. I've switched to the previous WHQL just to be sure, but it seems weird, that only people playing SCII would notice that.

People playing BFBC2 also noticed it as well.

It seems its any game that pushes the gpu that causes this...so it make sense why those games would kill/overheat the gpu.
