Ack... I was almost done editing categories for all my games and steam crashed and didn't save most of my changes

Switched back to the old interface.

My friend and i are loving the new UI. Its great! It feels so new yet familiar at the same time. Whatever made the old UI great and convinent are left untouched while other aspects are improved.

I don't know if I will get over it this time, I am really having issues with the service-based model versus actual ownership. I don't think it will go away that soon, if at all.

I am not opposed to using Steam though, for download-only titles or for Steamworks games.

I found the experience with the beta UI unpleasant, although I have to admit it's much more stylish, but the menus didn't render properly, I had empty spaces with no text at all.

The grid view is quite good and the expanded game list with titles not installed in grey is quite a clever choice, but now Steam looks like a media player, you know... libraries, games, etc.

A bit weird, but I'm sure the final version will be fine. For now, I'll stick to the good ol' Steam.

After spending more time on new Steam, it's great. Never experienced any problems. Some of my friend did though but just remember this is public beta.

Yeah the interface reminds me a bit of old Zune UI.
